Andrzej Swędrzyński

VP Of Engineering at Glia

Andrzej Swędrzyński has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Andrzej is currently working as the VP of Engineering at Glia since July 2022. Before that, they were the VP of Engineering at Syncron from March 2021 to May 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Swędrzyński worked at Atlassian, initially as the Head of Engineering for DC Products Group and later as the Site Lead. During their time at Atlassian, they led a team to deliver a major platform release of Jira Server/DC.

Prior to that, they worked at Spartez as the Senior Director of Engineering from March 2018 to October 2020. Andrzej played a key role in preparing the organization for rapid growth and mentored and coached leaders, resulting in the engineering organization doubling in size within two years.

Swędrzyński has also held leadership positions at Fandom powered by Wikia, where they served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering from March 2015 to July 2017. Andrzej also served as the Vice President of Engineering and General Manager of the Polish Office from September 2011 to March 2015. In addition, they worked as the Director of Software Development from April 2010 to August 2011, where they managed multiple software development projects and created initiatives to improve various aspects of the company.

Andrzej started their career at OpenX, where they held roles such as Branch Manager/Lead Software Developer from September 2007 to January 2010 and Lead Java Software Developer from October 2006 to August 2008. Andrzej was responsible for designing and developing integration modules and supervising Java projects.

Before that, Swędrzyński worked at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center as a Software Team Leader from September 2001 to September 2006. Andrzej managed and supervised software development and deployment activities and implemented various software modules.

Andrzej also worked as a University Teacher (contract) at Poznan University of Technology, where they taught a course on Design, Testing, and Refactoring of Software from 2002 to 2005.

Swędrzyński began their career as an Analyst Intern at Accenture in July 2001. Andrzej also worked as a Research Developer (half-time) at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center from July 1999 to June 2001, where they designed and implemented various services and applications.

Overall, Swędrzyński has a diverse range of experience and has held leadership positions in various organizations in the engineering field.

Andrzej Swędrzyński completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Poznan University of Technology (1997-2002). Prior to that, they graduated from VIII LO w Poznaniu high school, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (1993-1997).
