Mark Mitchell

Mark Mitchell, PMP has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Mark began their career as a Signal Technician at the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and later served as an IT Project Manager at the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), where they played a crucial role in the garrison IT and phone services during the group's relocation.

After that, Mark worked as a Field Service Representative at MJ-6 LLC, providing tactical network initialization services and support for various Army units. Mark then served as a Site Manager at Pragmatics, Inc., where they managed multiple application and database development projects and implemented Agile, DEVOPS, ITIL, and PMI processes and methodologies.

Mark later became the Operations Director at SAIC, supporting the United States Army Reserve Command's Data Systems and Applications Division. Mark provided leadership to over 40 personnel and was heavily involved in upgrading the Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations response plans.

At Federal IT Consulting (FEDITC), Mark took on the role of Director of Special Operations Programs, overseeing contracts supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Cybersecurity and other units. Later, at SAIC, they served as the Technology and Innovation Lead in support of USCENTCOM CCJ6 and conducted testing and evaluation of emerging technologies.

Mark then joined Leonardo DRS as a Program Manager, where they supported various IC, DoD, and Federal Civilian organizations and specialized in earned value management and customer success. Most recently, they were a Senior Program/Project Manager at Blackwater Project Management Consulting, where they provided project management expertise in Agile, SDLC, and Waterfall methodologies.

Mark's diverse experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in program and project management, with a particular focus on complex public and private sector projects and earned value management.

Mark Mitchell, PMP has a strong educational background and a range of certifications to support their expertise in project management. In 2003, they started their higher education journey at Excelsior University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Admin/Management. Mark successfully completed this program in 2007.

Mark continued to expand their knowledge in project management by pursuing a Graduate Certificate program at Columbia Southern University. From 2008 to 2009, they attended this institution and successfully obtained a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

In addition to their educational achievements, Mark has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional credentials. In 2009, they successfully completed the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA. This certification demonstrates their expertise in IT security.
