Gareth O'Loughlin has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Gareth began their career in 1995 as an Engineer at Newbridge Networks. In 1999, they moved to Extreme Packet Devices as a Senior Engineer and then to PMC Sierra as an Engineering Team Leader in 2000. In 2003, they joined Red Hat as a Product Marketer and then moved to Skype in 2005 as General Manager, Mobile & Consumer Electronics, where they grew the team from 1 to 55 people. In 2008, they joined Causata as Vice President, Products, developing a reinforcement learning product that was deployed at Disney and several large financial institutions. In 2013, they moved to oneID as Vice President - Engineering, Product & Design, developing a single page app and an Apple Watch app. In 2015, they joined Casper as Vice President, Technology, working on the company's first major website re-design and German & UK rollouts. In 2018, they became CTO at Gagosian and is currently VP of Engineering at GLMX - Access, Automate, Analyze.

Gareth O'Loughlin attended the University of Waterloo from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Gareth then attended Columbia University from 2001 to 2003, but did not earn a degree. In 1993 and 1994, they attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) but did not earn a degree.
