Lauren Roy is a Foreign Service Officer at Global Affairs Canada since May 2023, previously serving as Project Lead in the Ecosystems Unit at the Commission for Environmental Cooperation from May 2021 to May 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Special Assistant in the House of Commons of Canada, where Lauren contributed to parliamentary functions between October 2019 and May 2021. Past positions also include Policy and Advocacy Advisor at WWF, where Lauren developed outreach strategies for sustainable development and drafted policy briefs, as well as several roles in outdoor education and youth programs, including Trip Director and Communications Coordinator. Lauren holds a Master of Environmental Policy from Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Political Science and Biology from McGill University, complemented by an academic exchange at The University of Edinburgh and a Diplôme d'études collégiales from CEGEP - John Abbott College.
