Herbert A. Wetli

Herbert A. Wetli, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of Pharmaceutical Development at the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP) since March 2024, focusing on the design, development, and industrialization of new treatments through partnerships. Prior to this role, Wetli was the Development Director at Corden Pharma from January 2022 to February 2024, providing strategic direction and leading product development and technology transfer initiatives. Other notable positions include Guest Lecturer at the University of Bern, Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation, and Director roles at CSL Vifor, where oversight of drug product development and analytical strategy occurred. Wetli's extensive experience spans various organizations including Aenova Group, Elanco, Bayer, and a tenure as a Senior Scientist at 180 Degree Capital Corp. Wetli holds a PostDoc from Harvard University, a Ph.D. from the University of Bern, and a Master's degree from the University of Basel.
