Manuel Abascal

Manuel (Manny) Abascal currently serves as the Senior Vice-President of Finance, Treasury and Investment Banking at Global Bank since March 2022. Prior to this role, Manny held significant positions at Citi from 2012 to March 2022, including FIG Cluster Head for Corporate & Investment Banking in Central America and the Caribbean, as well as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking within the FIG Group. Earlier in their career, Manny worked as an Investment Banking Professional at Merrill Lynch from 2010 to 2012, and as an Attorney at Nixon Peabody, LLP from 2007 to 2010, and Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP from 2005 to 2007. Manny's educational background includes a Master's in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law, an MBA in Corporate Finance from Boston University's Questrom School of Business, and a Bachelor of Laws (JD equivalent) from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México.
