David Lighton is the Founder and CEO of Diameter Pay, a payments technology platform that powers USD payments for international clients and is incubated at MIT, backed by the EU, Barclays, and Ripple. Concurrently, David serves as a Fellow in the Global Justice Program at Yale University, where activities include lecturing on inequality and researching the effects of coronavirus on social disparities. Additionally, David holds the position of Project Lead for the European Regional Development Fund at the European Commission, focusing on innovation financing, and advises zkLend, a Web3 lender. Previous experience includes significant roles at The World Bank as an analyst, advising on financial inclusion strategies in Haiti, and participation in prestigious fellowship programs at the Mastercard Foundation and Techstars. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. from MIT and an M.A. in International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS, complemented by various additional studies at renowned institutions.
