Kevin Maguire

Kevin Maguire has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of travel management. Kevin started their career in 1995 as the Manager of Corporate Travel and Fleet Services at Tokyo Electron US Holdings, Inc. There, they developed a highly successful managed travel program and was responsible for managing a $26 million travel budget.

In 2006, Kevin joined Applied Materials as the Director of Global Travel Services. In this role, they oversaw global travel operations in 79 locations worldwide, with a budget of $75 million. Kevin implemented a new online travel reservation booking tool and negotiated supplier agreements, while also updating and redesigning the corporate travel policy.

Following their time at Applied Materials, Kevin worked as a consultant at Waste Management, Inc., where they reviewed and redesigned their existing managed travel program. Kevin also authored a comprehensive travel policy and designed a risk management program for the company.

In 2007, Kevin joined The University of Texas at Austin as the Director of Travel for Intercollegiate Athletics. Here, they built a benchmark managed travel program for athletic teams, maximizing travel efficiency and minimizing costs. Kevin also developed new technologies to improve efficiency and address risk management issues.

Kevin then transitioned to HGST, Inc. in 2014, working as the Global Travel Manager. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of the managed travel program for a global company. Their responsibilities included ownership and updates of the global travel policy, travel supplier negotiations, risk management procedures, and employee education.

Currently, Kevin serves as the Regional Vice President for Latin America Operations at GBTA | Global Business Travel Association, a position they have held since 2015. Prior to this role, they were also the Chairman and Immediate Past President of the Global Business Travel Association.

Kevin Maguire has a diverse education history. Kevin obtained a Doctorate Certification in Glopal Leadership Professional (GLP) from The Wharton School from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) program at Cornell University from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) degree in Public Relations and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Government, both obtained from The University of Texas at Austin from 1970 to 1974. Kevin Maguire also possesses multiple certifications, including CCTE, GLP, and GTP, although the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications are not specified.
