Mark Cuschieri

Mark Cuschieri has an extensive work experience in the travel industry. Mark currently serves as the President of GBTA | Global Business Travel Association, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of GBTA from July 2021 to August 2023, and they served as the Chairman of the Advisory Board from April 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining GBTA, Mark worked at UBS from 2007 to 2014, where they held various roles including Global Head of Travel and Executive Director EMEA Travel Management. In these positions, they oversaw the strategic management of UBS' global travel program and was responsible for design and execution within EMEA.

Mark has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Fello Travel from 2018 to 2020 and XENIA International Ltd from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, they held voluntary roles at the Institute of Travel Management, where they served as the Chairman of the Board from 2015 to 2017 and as a Board Director from 2010 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, Mark worked at Expedia Corporate Travel as the Director of Travel Sourcing from 2001 to 2007, and they started their career at American Express Global Business Travel as the EMEA Service Delivery Manager for Morgan Stanley, SBC Warburg, and Unisys.

Overall, Mark Cuschieri has a diverse background in travel management, with experience in strategic leadership, executive oversight, and board roles in various organizations within the industry.

Mark Cuschieri attended The London Oratory School from 1982 to 1987, where they received their secondary education. From 1987 to 1989, they attended the College for Distributive Trades and obtained a National Diploma in Business and Finance / Travel & Tourism. Additionally, Mark has obtained several certifications over the years, including the BTN Hotlist 2024 from Business Travel News and the Chair Sustainability Leadership Council from GBTA | Global Business Travel Association. Mark has also received the GBTA Direct Member of the Year Award and the GBTA Luoma Award 2014.
