Joe Cerrell

Joe Cerrell is an experienced leader in philanthropy and communications, currently serving as Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since May 2001, where Joe established the European Office in London. Cerrell also contributes to several organizations, including as an Advisory Board Member for GlobalCitizen and a Board Member for The ONE Campaign. Previous roles include Trustee at Comic Relief and board positions at MusicianCorps, along with communication-focused positions at RealNetworks, APCO Worldwide, and Pyramid Communications. Cerrell began their career as an Assistant Press Secretary at The White House. Cerrell earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Southern California.
