Bob Dunmire began their work experience in 1987 as a Primary Sorter and Human Resources Intern at UPS. Bob then worked at Telespectrum Worldwide from 1993 to 1999, serving in various roles including Technology Trainer and Reporting Analyst, Call Center Operations Manager, and Human Resources Manager. In 2000, Bob worked as a Business Analyst and Project Manager at IBM. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as the Director of Support Services at Epixtar. In 2005, Bob worked at Bank of America as a Vendor Manager and at Global Contact Services as the Vice President of Technology.

Bob Dunmire earned their high school diploma in General Studies from South Park Senior High School in 1986. Bob then attended the Community College of Allegheny County from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology and an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Point Park University, which they completed from 1990 to 1992.
