Leo San Pedro has extensive experience in emergency response and culinary arts. Currently serving as a Firefighter Reserve with the San Francisco Fire Department since March 2010, Leo has demonstrated critical life-saving skills, including the successful resuscitation of a patient in cardiac arrest. In addition to firefighting, Leo operates as an Environmental Supervisor and emergency oil spill responder with Global Diving & Salvage, Inc., and works as a Specialist at Apple’s Campus Headquarters. Previous roles include seasonal firefighter with the Dry Creek Rancheria Fire Department, Executive Chef and General Manager at Sushi Groove, Partner and Executive Chef at Wonton Club, Executive Chef at Whole Foods Market, and Sous Chef/Sushi Chef at Kamehachi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar. Leo's culinary expertise includes establishing sustainable practices and innovative dining experiences. Education includes studies at Columbia College Chicago, CCSF, Culinary Institute of America, and various high schools.
