Tamara Pursley

Tamara Pursley is an experienced professional in non-profit management and program development, currently serving as Events Senior Director at the Global Down Syndrome Foundation since January 2023. Prior to this role, Tamara held various positions at the National Down Syndrome Congress from October 2013 to October 2022, including Programs & Partnerships Director and Communications Director, contributing significantly to resources and support for individuals with Down syndrome. Earlier career roles include Program Coordinator and Operations Director at The Civic League for Regional Atlanta, as well as positions in sales and marketing at LaFayette Selections and financial management in restaurant operations. Tamara holds a Non-profit Management Certificate and a Certificate of Non-profit Fundraising Essentials from the Georgia Center for Non-profits, along with a BS in Textile Design from Florida State University.
