Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith serves as the Vice President Global Head of Rare Disease at Parexel since August 2022, where leadership in the Global Cross Functional Rare Disease Center of Excellence is highlighted. Rachel also collaborates with Rare Disease Research UK on nucleic acid therapies and co-leads the Global Genes Mental Health Working Group, focusing on advocacy and support for rare disease patients. Previous experience includes significant roles at Veristat, where project management and strategic consulting in cell and gene therapy were key responsibilities. Rachel has a robust track record in clinical project management across multiple organizations, including The CLINICAL TRIAL Company Ltd, Scope International AG, and GlaxoSmithKline, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Warwick.
