Karin Jay

Karin (Needham) Jay is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as President of Global Strategy at Global Healthcare Accreditation since October 2023. Previously, Karin held various roles at Planetree International from June 2011 to October 2023, including Senior Vice President of Global Services, where responsibilities encompassed directing international activities and supporting a network of Planetree Affiliates in 23 countries. Prior to that, Karin worked at Joint Commission Resources/Joint Commission International from April 1994 to June 2011, with notable positions including Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of Corporate Development, where efforts focused on international strategic opportunities and stakeholder relationships. Earlier experience includes roles at The Joint Commission and The University of Michigan Hospitals. Karin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in Philosophy/Health Care Ethics from Loyola University Chicago.
