Tonya Derry

Tonya Derry is an experienced professional with a multifaceted background in licensing, human resources, and legal support. Currently serving as the Director of Licensing at Global Music Rights since February 2020, Tonya advocates for songwriters and publishers while overseeing licensing for public performance music use. Previous roles include Human Resources and Business Manager at The Arc Davidson County & Greater Nashville and Benefits & Payroll Manager at MONQ, where Tonya handled comprehensive HR responsibilities and enhanced employee relations. Additional experience includes positions at JourneyPure, Legacy Law Group, ASCAP, and Sony Music Entertainment, showcasing expertise in recruitment, employee support, legal processes, and music rights management. Tonya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Studies with concentrations in Communications and Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.
