Samaya Anjum is a Policy & Communications Fellow at the Global Network Initiative since June 2023, where responsibilities include supporting policy advocacy through research and drafting submissions, as well as coordinating with senior management and policy committees. In addition, Samaya is an author for Global Voices, covering South Asia and contributing to the Advox project, and has served as a researcher analyzing the Bangladeshi media landscape. Previous roles include Editorial Assistant at Shuddhashar FreeVoice, Research Trainee at The Scottish Parliament, Editor-in-Chief at Le Dragon Déchaîné, and Project Intern at Hakikat Adalet Hafıza Merkezi. Samaya's educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Public Affairs from Central European University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Sciences Po, complemented by studies in International Law of Cyber Operations and Law at Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin, respectively.
