Ciara Rivera

Ciara Rivera is an experienced education specialist with a strong background in technical and operational support for educational policy and system transformations across multiple countries, including Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Somalia. Currently working at the Global Partnership for Education, Rivera previously held roles at Save the Children International as a Coordination Consultant and at Chemonics International as a Senior Education Advisor. Additional experience includes various positions at UNICEF focusing on education quality and emergencies in West and Central Africa, as well as leadership roles with Plan International and Save the Children UK during humanitarian responses. Educational credentials include an Executive Master's degree in Policy Leadership from Georgetown University, a Master's in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's in Modern Languages from Florida State University, among other certifications and studies in language and early grade reading.
