James Sloan

James Sloan has work experience in the technology industry, with a focus on software engineering and production support engineering. James has worked at two companies, starting with TSYS in 2018 as a placement software engineer intern. There, they gained exposure to various tools and technologies in the fintech industry, including gateway, embedded, and test engineering. In 2020, James joined Global Payments Integrated as a software engineer, working on gateway engineering projects. James was involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of software, with a focus on databases and server-side application code. James used tools and technologies such as C#, Java, SQL, MongoDb, GIT, Bamboo, and Jenkins. In their most recent role as a senior software engineer at Global Payments Integrated, James primarily focused on production support engineering, delivering hotfixes, enhancements, and utilities to production application servers. James also performed tasks related to reviewing, verifying, and coordinating releases.

James Sloan earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, where they attended from 2016 to 2020.
