Daniel Sturm is an accomplished individual currently engaged as a member of the Firsthand Program and a Private Equity Analyst Intern at McKinsey & Company since December 2020. In addition, Daniel serves as an Investment Analyst at Global Platinum Securities and holds multiple roles within the Harvard College in Asia Program, including Treasurer and Finance Associate. Daniel is also involved in the Harvard Innovation Labs as a member of the iLab Entrepreneurship Program and previously worked as an Associate for Harvard Undergraduate CBE. As the Founder and CEO of silver--lining, a podcast and digital health startup aimed at making mental health accessible, Daniel has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit since June 2021. Prior experience includes participation in a Bioinformatics Project at the University of Düsseldorf. Academically, Daniel is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics at Harvard University, following a record of high achievement in secondary education, including valedictorian honors in Germany and high distinctions in the USA.

Global Platinum Securities™ (GPS) is a unique intercollegiate student-run investment company that seeks to educate the next generation of investors by immersing them in the field of active investment management. Its student members hail from eight renowned universities across North America and Western Europe. Upon induction to the group students participate in a structured ten-week summer education program that exposes them to security selection, company and industry analysis, portfolio construction and valuation philosophies. Commensurate with our mantra of learning by doing, members are divided into eight industry sector groups and perform equity research under the leadership and guidance of fellow members and professional mentors. The group seeks capital preservation and income generation by employing a bottom-up, value oriented philosophy.
