Sharifa Blackwell

Sharifa Blackwell, M.Ed has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Sharifa is currently working as a School Principal at Global Preparatory Academy since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as a School Principal at St. Louis Language Immersion Schools (SLLIS) from May 2020 to June 2023. Sharifa also worked as an Assistant Principal at DECATUR SCHOOL DISTRICT 61 from July 2019 to July 2020. Additionally, they served as a Bilingual Coordinator & Instructional Coach at Urbana School District #116 from July 2018 to May 2019. Before that, they worked as an English Second Language Instructor at Fall Creek Valley Middle School from January 2018 to May 2018. Sharifa also has experience as a Spanish Teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools from August 2017 to December 2017. Sharifa began their career as a Spanish Teacher at Tindley Accelerated Schools in August 2005 and later became the Assistant Principal of Culture from July 2016 to July 2017.
