Samsudeen Atheek

Samsudeen Atheek has extensive experience in translation and localization, currently serving as a Tamil Localization Translator/Proofreader at Duolingo since June 2024. Prior to this role, Atheek worked as a Tamil-English Interpreter for Global Press Journal from June 2021 onward, and as a Freelance Translator for Amri Translation Services from January 2014 to April 2023. Atheek contributed to Translators without Borders in various capacities, including On Demand Tamil Language Lead from April to December 2021 and Tamil Language Lead from July to December 2020. Atheek holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Eastern University of Sri Lanka, earned between 1996 and 2001.
