Megan Smith

Megan Smith is Associate Director of Programs & Business Development at GPCA, where she is responsible for organizing and programming conferences, training, and webinars, including the IFC/GPCA Global Private Equity Conference, the Sustainable Investing in Emerging Markets Summit, and the GPCA Masterclass series. In addition to program development, Megan manages sponsorships and partnerships in support of these events and other GPCA initiatives.

Prior to GPCA, Megan worked at Rare, a global conservation organization, where she led communications and fundraising projects for the Sustainable Finance and Markets team. She also worked at US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, a US-based membership association advancing sustainable, responsible, and impact investing across all asset classes. There she managed US SIF’s communications efforts and its major events, most notably the US SIF Annual Conference. Megan also previously worked with the US Department of State and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).
