Yara Ahmed

Yara Ahmed is a Junior DevOps at Global Relay since January 2024, with a background in computer science and extensive experience in student engagement and outreach. Previous roles at Dalhousie University included managing logistics for faculty events, creating impactful social media content, and serving as a peer advisor, residence assistant, and mentor for first-year computer science students. Yara co-founded and co-presided over the Dalhousie Girls That Lift Society, organizing various health and wellness events. Additionally, Yara completed a co-op role as a DevOps Engineer at Global Relay, where automation efforts improved testing efficiency, and worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at SimplyCast, contributing to successful code releases. Education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Dalhousie University and a High School Diploma from Abu Dhabi Grammar School Canada.
