Jean Armas

Jean Armas, MPH, serves as Co-Chair of the Global Maternal and Child Health Network and is a Governing Councilor for the International Health Section at the American Public Health Association, where responsibilities include adopting policy statements on public health issues. Jean has held various leadership roles since 2016, including Chair of the Communications Committee, overseeing strategic communication initiatives to enhance section transparency and member engagement. As Program Manager at Global Strategies, Jean empowers communities in underserved regions, impacting over 100,000 women and children annually. Previous experience includes positions at Kaiser Permanente, University of California, San Francisco, Health Technology Center, and Stanford University, with a strong focus on health research and technology innovation. Jean earned a Master of Public Health in Applied Epidemiology from Emory University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from San Francisco State University.
