Rob Wetterer

Rob is a seasoned IT professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He earned his mechanical engineering degree with a focus on manufacturing from the University of Cincinnati, where he discovered his passion for computers through programming and IT classes taken as electives. Early in his career, Rob honed his programming skills by working on 3D design and programming projects to automate the creation of CNC/DNC code for metalworking machines.

Later, he designed and implemented the network and server infrastructure for one of the earliest large-scale internet banking platforms. Since then, Rob has worked on a variety of projects for Fortune 500 and mid-sized clients, taking on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. At CBTS, Rob created and led the Enterprise Architecture team, overseeing presales efforts across all pillars. He later transitioned into more sales-focused roles, where he has continued to leverage his technical expertise to find the right solutions for clients while balancing business needs with industry trends.

Rob is known for his ability to prioritize security, resiliency, and scalability in his work, ensuring that solutions meet both current and future needs. He also has a unique talent for simplifying complex technologies and breaking down technical jargon into understandable terms. This skill has been invaluable in his work with clients, as it allows him to effectively communicate the benefits and drawbacks of different solutions and technologies across all levels of an organization.
