Global Volunteers is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian, non-governmental organization engaging short-term volunteers on micro-economic and human development programs in close partnership with local people worldwide. Working at the invitation and under the direction of local leaders, volunteers help create a foundation for world peace through mutual international understanding.

Since 1984, Global Volunteers has engaged over 35,000 volunteers around the world on a variety of projects, including teaching, childcare, medical, community development, and construction and renovation. Volunteers can choose to volunteer from one to three weeks in the following locations: China, the Cook Islands, Cuba, Ecuador, Greece, Italy, Nepal, Peru, Poland, Portugal, St. Lucia, Tanzania, USA, and Vietnam.

The Finance and Administration team at Global Volunteers is responsible for managing the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. This includes overseeing budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations. The team also handles human resources functions and supports the logistical needs of volunteers and staff, enabling the organization to effectively execute its impactful programs worldwide.
