Freddy Alvarez

Freddy Alvarez has extensive experience in the energy and water sectors, with a focus on project management, asset management, and strategic consulting. Freddy is currently the Vice President of Engineering and Construction at Global Water Resources. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Consultant at The Alvarez Group, LLC, where they provided data analytics and project management expertise to PE firms and SMEs. Freddy also served as the Energy and Facilities Manager for the City of Phoenix's Water Services Department, leading the implementation of organizational improvements and technology integration. Earlier in their career, Freddy held leadership positions at EthosEnergy, Topaz Power, Wood Group, Duke Energy Corporation, Panda Energy LLC, DFD Operating Plant Services, and American Electric Power, where they gained experience in operations, maintenance, and plant management. Freddy has a strong track record of successfully driving performance improvement and delivering financial results in the energy industry.

Freddy Alvarez has a diverse education history in the field of business and data analytics. Freddy obtained a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with a specialization in Data Analytics from Grand Canyon University. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, focusing on Business/Managerial Economics.

Freddy also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Economics from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. In addition to their formal education, they attended various certification programs and obtained certifications in areas such as project management, agile methodologies, data visualization, and big data techniques.

Freddy obtained certifications in Leading in Crisis from LinkedIn in May 2020, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in May 2017.
