Sophie Marsden

Sophie Marsden is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in development and policy-related fields. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Advisor at Global Witness since October 2023, Sophie previously held various roles at the Institute of Development Studies from January 2012 to October 2023, including Communications and Impact Manager, Communications Officer, and Health Systems Programme Officer. Additional experience includes positions as a Policy and Research Officer at Locality, Programmes and Development Administrator at BASSAC, and Research Assistant (internship) at Oxford Research Group. Sophie holds a Master's Degree in Social Anthropology from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Lancaster University.
