Kamal Khouri

Kamal Khouri has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Kamal is currently the Vice President & General Manager of the Automotive Business Line at GLOBALFOUNDRIES since September 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President & General Manager, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems at NXP Semiconductors from April 2017 to July 2020.

Before their time at NXP Semiconductors, Khouri worked at AMD, where they held various director-level positions. Kamal was a Director of Products and Market Development from January 2016 to March 2017, a Director, Embedded Gaming from November 2014 to January 2016, a Director of Product Management and Marketing from an unknown start date to November 2014, and a Director, Design Engineering from an unknown start date to an unknown end date.

Prior to AMD, Khouri worked at Freescale Semiconductor, where they held different senior managerial roles. Kamal was a Senior Manager, Platform Product Management, Networking Systems Division from an unknown start date to 2010, a Senior Manager, 3rd Party Ecosystem Team, Networking Systems Division from an unknown start date to 2010, a Manager, Physical Design and Technical Interface, Central R&D from an unknown start date to 2007, and a Manager, System-Level Methodology, Central R&D from 2005 to 2006.

Their career in the semiconductor industry began at Motorola, where they held the role of Principal Staff Scientist at the Somerset Design Center from an unknown start date to 2005. During their time at Motorola, they focused on driving research and development of prototype tools for micro-architectural power estimation and deployment of power modeling methodology on PowerPC design projects.

Kamal Khouri holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Princeton University, which they pursued from 1995 to 2000. Prior to their Ph.D., they earned their Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution, studying from 1995 to 1997. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Bucknell University, where they earned a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering, graduating in 1995.
