Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu is a seasoned professional with significant experience in the fields of materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Process Integration Senior Engineer and previously as a Characterization/Yield Senior Engineer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES since February 2016, Xuan has a diverse technical background. Prior roles include Applications Specialist at NanoMEGAS USA, providing customer technical support and product development from October 2014 to February 2016, and Research Associate and PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on the texture study of thin films via transmission electron microscopy from August 2009 to September 2014. Xuan also gained experience as an intern at Seagate Technology in 2012, where the characterization of magnetic media materials was conducted, and participated in research at SRC from 2010 to 2012 while studying at Carnegie Mellon University. Xuan completed a Bachelor’s degree at Xi'an Jiaotong University and earned both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
