Darragh Smyth has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles. Starting in 1994, they worked as a Research Assistant in Informatics at the University of Leipzig for a year. Darragh then moved on to the University of Stirling, where they worked as a Research Assistant in Psychology from 1995 to 1996. In 1999, they joined the University of Oxford as a Research Assistant in Physiology, where they conducted research and assisted colleagues with programming and analytical needs. During this time, they also managed Summer students with their lab projects.

In 2001, Darragh founded Applefares.com, a meta-search website for live flight price comparison that was later acquired by Cheapflights Media. Darragh conceived, developed, and managed the website, which screen-scraped and aggregated live prices from low-cost airlines in the EU and North America.

From 2002 to 2009, Darragh worked at Cheapflights Media where they held multiple roles. Darragh started as a Product Manager, responsible for feature enhancements and serving as the Product Owner for operations, tracking, analytics, and algorithms. Darragh then became the Head of Business Intelligence, where they used web analytics and business intelligence to optimize user experience and client conversion. Additionally, they served as the Innovations Manager and played a key role in launching Cheapflights.com in the US.

In 2010, Darragh co-founded the Sugarloaf Supper Club, an underground pop-up restaurant in London, where they and their wife prepared, cooked, and served meals to guests.

Afterward, Darragh joined the Momondo Group in 2009 as a Product Architect. Darragh worked for a decade for the London-based B2C online media company, managing the Cheapflights and Momondo global brands in travel search. Darragh was involved in revenue and user experience optimization, as well as designing new search ranking algorithms. Darragh also had responsibilities in product management and was actively engaged in the agile development process.

In 2021, Darragh joined Swrve as a Senior Product Manager, where they helped the company pivot from mobile game optimization to mobile marketing automation across various verticals. Darragh worked closely with customers, prospects, sales, support, design, and engineering teams to achieve long-term strategic goals. In 2022, they were promoted to Principal Product Manager at G-P/Globalization Partners.

Throughout their career, Darragh has demonstrated expertise in product management, data analysis, software development, and customer engagement. Darragh has published research and presented at academic conferences in their fields of expertise.

Darragh Smyth has an extensive education history. Darragh pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University College Dublin from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they attended The University of Stirling from 1993 to 1994, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Neural Computation. Lastly, Darragh Smyth pursued and successfully completed their Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Oxford, which they attended from 1996 to 2003.
