Vanessa A. Robinson

Vanessa A. Robinson has an extensive work experience beginning in 2004. Vanessa A. started as a Tobacco Cessation Coordinator at Clark Memorial Hospital, where they presented to city councils, school boards, and community interest groups on no-smoking agenda within hospitals, schools, public buildings, workplaces, and restaurants. In 2009, they became a Student Attorney at Louisville Law Clinic, where they represented clients in emergency protective orders (EPOs), divorce, and forcible detainers. In 2011, they advanced to Senior Attorney at OBryan Law Offices PSC, where they provided legal services to over 500 clients annually, including financial assessment, consultation, representation at hearings and court proceedings, motion practice, and settlement negotiation. In 2016, they became a Legal Writer and Marketing Communications Account Manager at Aetna, where they researched and drafted proposal responses related to corporate governance and history; program integrity and regulatory compliance; fraud, waste, and abuse detection and prevention; utilization management; and subcontractor oversight. In 2019, they became a Grant Writer at Helen's Hope Chest, where they wrote, reviewed, and edited grant proposals and letters of intent. In 2020, they worked as a Contract Writer, utilizing project management skills and relevant technology such as SharePoint, WebEx, Zoom, Google Docs, PMAPS, and PowerPoint to work collaboratively with other contractors in various locations to meet client requirements. In 2021, they became the Director of Professional Services at GlobalMed Telemedicine.

Vanessa A. Robinson has a Juris Doctorate from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, which they obtained between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University Southeast between 2000 and 2004. Before that, they obtained a Certificate in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute-Foreign Language Center between 1994 and 1996. Additionally, they have a certification as an Aetna Certified Writer from the Aetna Writers' Center for Excellence, which they obtained in October 2017.
