Steve Probst

Founder, President, CEO & GlobalRisk Platform Inventor at GlobalRisk

Steve Probst is the Founder, President, CEO & GlobalRisk Platform Inventor at GlobalRisk. Steve has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, including previous positions as Manager of Research & Development at Argus Corporation and Linnco Futures Group.

Probst is an expert in option trading and option pricing models. Steve developed a personal library of menu and position manager screens that replaced the existing front end and position manager at Argus Corporation. Steve also added the ability for traders to select a desired option pricing model from a menu of several models, including their own personal option pricing models.

Under Probst's leadership, Argus Corporation transitioned from a ramshackle trading operation that was running at overcapacity into a smoothly running operation averaging 35 traders on a daily basis. The operation was fully networked and monitored in real-time by the executive trader.

Argus Corporation merged with Linnco Futures, and Probst's work duties continued under the new entity Linnco Futures Group, LLC. At this time, LFG created an electronic order routing system called LEO. Probst developed a pre-trade risk check for LEO that allowed it to send an order to the risk system which would look at the order and decide if it needs to be flagged for verification before being routed to the pit.

Steve Probst has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from DePaul University, an Associate in Arts General Business High Honors from Oakton Community College, and a High School Diploma in Mathematics from Lane Technical High School.
