Elkin D. Gonzalez

Elkin D. Gonzalez has over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. In 2001, they began their career as a Project & Development Engineer at Consorcio Trrunking S.A. E.S.P. where they designed hardware and software solutions for voice and data transmission applications, managed pre and post-sales customer service and technical support, and prepared tenders and project documentation. In 2007, they became the Engineering Director at Gilat Colombia SA ESP where they were responsible for VSAT voice and data network operation and administration, HUB maintenance and network optimization. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as the Engineering Director at SIMS TECHNOLOGIES S.A.S. where they were responsible for VSAT voice and data network design, installation, operation, and maintenance of iDirect and Gilat technologies, as well as space segment administration and remote monitoring. In 2012, they became the Engineering Manager at ECOMIL S.A.S. where they managed the nation-wide engineering department, deployed a technical case reporting system, and was responsible for pre-sales engineering, sizing of network infrastructure, M2M, voice, and data. In 2013, they became the Country Manager Colombia at GLOBALSAT Group. Lastly, in 2007, they founded and became the CTO of WiCom Networks.

Elkin D. Gonzalez holds an Electronics Engineer degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, which they obtained between 1995 and 2000. Elkin D. also holds a Specialist in Mobile Telecommunications degree from Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas, which they obtained between 2003 and 2005. In 2016, they completed a Diplomado in Gerencia from Fundacion Universitaria Empresarial de la Camara de Comercio de Bogota. Additionally, they hold certifications from Aerohive Networks, Inmarsat, and iDirect, which they obtained in 2012, 2012, and 2009, respectively.
