Michalis Mitrou

Michalis Mitrou is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at GWI, with previous experience as a ML/Software Engineer at WINGS ICT Solutions. Prior to their current roles, Michalis worked as a Master Thesis Student at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI, focusing on the detection of tampered eye images using Convolutional Neural Networks. With a Master's degree in Geoinformation Science from Technische Universität Berlin, Michalis also has experience as a Research Assistant in various projects related to image processing, structure from motion, and geodetic mapping. During their summer internships, Michalis worked on documenting Cultural Heritage in Rhodes and mapping buildings in Nisyros.
