Matthew Shapiro

Matthew Shapiro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in consulting, strategic partnerships, and education. As the Senior Director at Horizon Engage since February 2024, Matthew focuses on providing organizations with insights at the nexus of geopolitics, industry, and markets. In April 2019, Matthew founded MacroTessera, which specializes in business development and sales strategy related to technology and data. Additionally, Matthew serves as a Course Leader at Emeritus, collaborating with top global universities such as the University of Cambridge. Previous roles include Head of Strategic Partnerships at Enquire, Chairman of the Advisory Board at Oxford Analytica, Managing Director of Americas at Predata, and Director of Global Markets at Eurasia Group. Matthew holds an MSc in International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BA in History and English from Franklin & Marshall College.
