Julio Castro

Julio Castro is an experienced professional in the field of technology and management, currently serving as the Technical Manager at Globant's CloudOps Studio since May 2019, and as the CTO at Wymaq since January 2021. As a Co-Founder of xGem, a community focused on promoting open source technology projects with around 60 members, Julio also served as a part-time teacher at Escuela Técnica Roberto Rocca Campana from February 2018 to January 2021. Prior to these roles, Julio spent over 20 years at Tenaris, where responsibilities included IT Technical Manager and Technology Specialist, leading efforts in product monitoring, knowledge exchange, and process automation. Early career experience includes providing onsite user support at Esso and assisting in HR training initiatives. Julio holds a degree in Information Systems Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, obtained between 1995 and 2001.
