Lorena Ferro Borges

Lorena Ferro Borges, originally from Caracas Venezuela, moved to the USA in 2007. She earned her Bachelor in Accounting and Administration from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.

She currently works at GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation as Head of Finance and Compliance. She has more than 10 years of experience working in Finance and Compliance for non-profits in Georgia. With her team they currently manage a grant portfolio of over $100m, that includes US private foundations, US government agencies and international governments such as UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, etc.

Since becoming the mother to a very special girl, Lorena discovered her passion for volunteering. She currently serves as a member of the Cardiac Family Advisory Council and Family Advisory Council for Children’s Health Care of Atlanta. She is also member of the ELC (Emerging Leaders for Children’s Health Care of Atlanta). She is a past Board member of AWARE wildlife center and The Childre’s Heart Foundation.
