Howard Tafler

Howard Tafler, CPA CA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Howard began their career in 1992 as an Auditor at EY, one of the "Big Four" accounting firms. After two years, they moved to Richter, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in Canada, where they worked as a Principal for eight years. Following their time at Richter, Tafler joined Procaps LP as the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all financial aspects and operations of the company. During their tenure, they managed a 10-person Finance team and played a key role in the organization's strategic direction. Tafler then joined DAVIDsTEA, a specialty tea boutique, as the Chief Accounting Officer and later became the Chief Financial Officer. At DAVIDsTEA, they played a significant role in managing the company's finances and driving operational improvements. Currently, Tafler serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Globe Electric, a company operating in the electrical industry. Additionally, they are a member of the Advisory Board at retailu. Throughout their career, Tafler has acquired a comprehensive set of skills and experiences in financial management, strategic planning, and corporate leadership.

- From 1987 to 1989, they pursued a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) at Marianopolis College.

- From 1989 to 1992, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting from McGill University.

- From 1992 to 1993, they pursued a Diploma in Public Accountancy, specializing in Accounting, at McGill University.

- In 1995, Howard Tafler obtained the Chartered Accountant Designation (CPA, CA) from the Ordre des CPA du Québec.
