Karl Merckel

Karl Merckel has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Karl currently holds the position of Vice President Technology at the Globus family of brands since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of IT ANZ and Applications Manager at the Globus family of brands Australasia from 2018. Before joining the Globus family of brands, they served as the Business Solutions Manager at the City of Sydney from 2017 to 2018. Karl also worked as the Business Systems Manager at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they have held positions such as IT Manager at Structural Projects Group, Group IT Manager at Express Data, Delivery Manager Business Applications at Dimension Data, and IT Manager at Mail it Safe (Prospector Network). Karl started their career as a Senior Developer at Abitibi Consolidated and SITA. Karl Merckel has gained experience in a wide range of technologies, including MS Dynamics, SharePoint, Office365, Pathway LIS, MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Salesforce, Lotus Notes, SAP, VB6, .Net, Java, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

Karl Merckel attended Dawson College from 1992 to 1994, earning a DEC in Social Sciences. Karl then continued their education at Herzing College from 1994 to 1996, obtaining a DEC in Computer Science.
