John Varela

John Varela serves as the Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Globus Medical since October 2020. Prior to this role, John was with RTI Surgical®, holding the positions of Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Vice President of US Operations, where responsibilities included overseeing global manufacturing and distribution sites with over 600 employees and supporting more than $280 million in annual sales. John's earlier experience includes leadership roles at Heraeus, Greatbatch Medical, Teleflex Medical, Philips Lighting, GE Power Systems, GE Aerospace, and GE Lighting, focusing on operations and logistical management. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University.
