Garm Lucassen - 𝜪xp

Garm Lucassen's work experience includes their current role as Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Glo Dollar, where they help create basic incomes for people in extreme poverty through investing money in government bonds. Garm is also a Creator at TURF and CardanoSpace, where they are involved in undisclosed roles.

Prior to their current positions, Lucassen worked as a Lead Product Manager at Secfi, a fintech company that provides education, tax planning tools, and financing for employees to exercise stock options. Garm held this role from November 2017 until June 2021.

Before joining Secfi, Lucassen pursued their PhD at Utrecht University, focusing on user stories and their effectiveness in agile requirements engineering. Garm completed their PhD and dissertation titled "Understanding User Stories: Computational Linguistics in Agile Requirements Engineering" in November 2017.

Lucassen also gained experience as a Trainer in Software Product Management at NISI - Nederlands Instituut voor de Software Industrie from July 2016 to October 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Ruby on Rails Developer at Inspire Innovation BV, where they managed multiple client projects from February 2013 to August 2014.

Earlier in their career, Lucassen worked as a Freelance Writer from July 2009 to June 2012 and as a Student Assistant in Strategic Management & ICT at Universiteit Utrecht from February 2012 to April 2012. Garm also served as an Independent Student Recruiter at Keylane from July 2010 to June 2011.

Garm Lucassen completed their education at Utrecht University. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Sciences. Garm then pursued further studies and graduated with a Master of Business Informatics degree in Information Systems in 2014. Afterwards, Garm Lucassen decided to delve deeper into their field of interest and pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Software Product Management, which they successfully completed in 2017. In addition to their academic pursuits, they also completed a minor in Entrepreneurship in 2012. As for certifications, Garm Lucassen obtained the "Software Product Management - Foundations" certification from ISPMA e.V. in July 2014.
