Alejandro Rojas Benítez

Alejandro Rojas Benítez has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. Alejandro began their career as an Administration Assistant at Clara Robinson PA from June 2017 to April 2021.

In 2020, Alejandro worked as a Treasury Analytic Solutions Intern at Grupo Bancolombia, where they developed a back testing kit for algorithmic trading strategies and conducted simulations of open, high, low, and close prices for different financial assets.

From April 2021 to September 2021, Alejandro worked as a Data Analyst at iFood Colombia, where they built data sets and dashboards for logistics operations and developed a lost orders forecast. Alejandro also created a classification model for restaurant's delivery fee.

Alejandro then continued their work in data engineering at iFood Colombia from October 2021 to January 2022. During this time, they participated in code reviews for ETL processes, designed promotion datasets, and developed data ingestion scripts.

After that, Alejandro joined Sumz in January 2022 as a Data Engineer. In this role, they developed pipelines to transform and load production data into a search engine index, resulting in a tripled search speed for users. Alejandro also played a key role in designing and developing a data platform.

Currently, Alejandro is working as a Data Engineer at GlossGenius, starting in April 2023. The details of this role are not provided.

Alejandro Rojas Benítez graduated from the Universidad EAFIT with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Engineering from the School of Sciences. Alejandro attended the university from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, Alejandro has obtained several certifications, including dbt Fundamentals from dbt Labs in August 2022, IBM Data Science from IBM in July 2021, The Complete Tableau Bootcamp for Data Visualization from Udemy in March 2021, and Python for Time Series Data Analysis from Udemy in January 2021.
