Joe Harris

Joe Harris has a comprehensive background in local governance and leadership, currently serving as Vice Chair and Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at the Local Government Association since July 2021. Harris also holds the position of Leader of Cotswold District Council and is a District Councillor since May 2011. Engagements include serving as a County Councillor for Gloucestershire County Council since May 2013 and as a Shareholder Representative for Publica Group Ltd since May 2019. Additionally, Harris was an Executive Board Member at the District Councils' Network from June 2019 to July 2021 and has experience in freelance social media management. The career also features roles as Town Councillor and Mayor of Cirencester from May 2011 to August 2016, as well as early positions in hospitality and youth leadership. Joe Harris completed education at Cirencester College and Cirencester Deer Park School.
