Alexis Kyriakou

Alexis Kyriakou has a diverse work experience spanning over the past two decades. Their most recent role was as the Vice President and Head of Total Rewards at Galapagos since June 2020. Prior to that, they served as the VP and Global Head of Compensation & Mobility at Takeda from January 2019 to March 2020. Alexis has also held various leadership positions at Shire, including Vice President - Global Head of Compensation & Mobility from June 2016 to December 2018, Senior Director, Global Head of Compensation from July 2014 to May 2016, and Senior Director, Global Head of Executive & Equity Reward from September 2011 to July 2014. Before joining Shire, they worked as the Director & Head of Reward, Group Centre at Barclays from November 2008 to September 2011. Alexis began their career as a Senior Consultant in Executive Compensation at Towers Perrin from April 2005 to October 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Solicitor at Allen & Overy from March 2003 to February 2005 and as a Trainee Solicitor at Linklaters from January 2001 to December 2002.

Alexis Kyriakou attended the University of Cambridge from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an MA (Cantab) in Law (with European Option). They then went on to study at the College of Law, London from 1999 to 2000, earning an LPC in Legal Practice Course. Alexis also completed a Diploma in French Legal Studies at the Université de Poitiers from 1997 to 1998.
