Diederik Bries

Diederik Bries has a strong background in quality assurance and distribution within the pharmaceutical industry. Diederik is currently working at Galapagos as the Head of Commercial Quality and CMC, overseeing European distribution quality and ensuring compliance with regulations. Prior to that, they worked at Zoetis Belgium SA as a Senior SCL Quality Leader, responsible for managing the GDP local release of veterinary medicinal products. Diederik also served as a Manager QA Operations lead at Shire, where they implemented and maintained compliance with quality systems and supported regulatory agency inspections. Before that, Diederik worked at ViroPharma as a QA Manager - GDP, where they focused on implementing and maintaining good distribution practices and obtaining wholesale dealer licenses. Diederik began their career at Baxter Healthcare, holding various roles such as Country QA Manager Europe and Release Pharmacist. Overall, Diederik has extensive experience in quality management, distribution, and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.

Diederik Bries has completed a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Additionally, they have pursued a Post Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the same university.
