Theresa Pleye

Theresa Pleye is a seasoned professional in risk management with a strong focus on sustainability, currently serving as Senior Referent Risk Management at GLS Bank since January 2020. In this role, Theresa integrates ESG risks into bank management while adhering to regulatory requirements. Previous positions at GLS Bank included Referent Impact Transparency & Sustainability, where Theresa worked on integrating sustainability risks into risk management and customer processes, and also contributed as a Working Student and Intern in the same department, focusing on sustainability reporting and risk measurement. Additionally, Theresa has shared expertise as a Lecturer at EBZ Business School and has interned with Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, contributing to research on sustainable startups. Theresa holds a Master of Science in Management & Sustainable Accounting and Finance from Leuphana University of Lüneburg and has also studied at Bochum University and the University of Galway.
