Steve Mancuso is the Senior Major Gifts & Individual Giving Officer at GLSEN. Steve has over 20 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategic planning, budget management, and implementation of marketing efforts. Steve has also been credited with developing successful sales proposals and cultivating relationships with clients.
Steve began their career in 1999 as the Vice President of Marketing / Director of Marketing for The DMC Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for developing annual strategic plans, setting revenue targets, and implementing strategies to meet those targets. This included overseeing recruitment and consumer engagement programs, advertising development, PR plans, development of strategic partnerships, education programs, trade show events, and budget management.
During their time at The DMC Corporation, Steve was instrumental in obtaining national distribution for $5.5 million of new products. Steve also worked with Sales to cultivate and nurture client relationships, and created a successful Mentor Program that recruited and taught over 1 million new prospects. In addition, they launched the company's social media presence and developed a "Best Practices" strategy to protect the brand.
In 2014, Steve left The DMC Corporation to join Diving For Life, a non-profit organization. In their current role as Senior Major Gifts & Individual Giving Officer, they are responsible for securing financial support from major donors and individual giving programs. Steve has also been working on developing a new website for the organization.
Steve Mancuso received a Bachelor of Science in Advertising & Accounting from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College. Steve also received a Certificate in Executive Non-Profit Leadership from Fordham University.
