Dylan Tonningsen has held a variety of roles in the transportation and environmental planning fields since 2016. In that year, they were an Associate Consultant for the Bay Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network, a Legislative and Policy Intern for the City and County of San Francisco, a Business Development Representative for Luxe (acquired by Volvo), and a Transportation Planning Intern for AC Transit. In 2017, they were a Transportation Planner I for Santa Barbara County Association of Governments, and in 2021 they were promoted to Project Manager - Transit Planning for Glydways. In their roles, Tonningsen has been responsible for research, interpretation, analysis, programming, forecasting, preparation of applications, allocations and reports, specialized planning functions, public outreach efforts, data collection and analysis, driving new revenue channels, sourcing and qualifying new leads, and liaising between legislative aides and planning departments.
Dylan Tonningsen received their Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018, where they majored in Urban Studies with a Minor in Geospatial Information Science. Prior to that, they attended Encinal High School from 2010 to 2014.
